Josie was a breeding dog dumped on the streets of Los Angeles. When we picked her up, she was terrified. She made a complete personality transformation within 15 hours. She has attended 2 adoption events with me and ICARE Dog Rescue here in Orange County. She LOVES other dogs! She was picked up by me as a rescue, vetted (up-to-date on shots, medicated flea bath, fecal test, ears cleaned), she will get fixed (the vet wanted to wait until she knew there were no health problems, and she will be micro chipped.
Josie is currently in boarding and I desperately need to find a home for her by September 17, 2011. We are even open to a foster home if someone would prefer to try a 'foster to adopt' program. She loves people and is very dog friendly. Josie whimpers and barks when she is left in her cage, and may do best in a home with another dog as she loves to be close to people. While at the pound one day someone was trying toi get rid of a litter of 6 week old pits and the pound said if she left them they woudl be put to sleep. My husband loving pit bulls brought her home and a few mths later our missing dog was returned. Lexi is not getting along with her and has tried going after her a couple times. I believe it is out of jealousy. She's is good with my kids but very hyper and haven't had the time to train her. We are having financial difficulty as well and just cannot continue to keep her. I know she would be great if someone had the time to love and train her.

Reason(s) for rehoming the dog: Bella was abandoned in front of a friend's house a few months ago with a bag of dog food. When we found her, she was starved and very thin. She was taken in by us as a rescue, and she has been vetted (vet exam, shots up to date, spayed, and microchipped). We currently have 3 other dogs and cannot keep her here any longer. She is food aggressive towards other dogs (she was food aggressive towards us at first, but she isn't any longer to us). She walks well on a leash, seems to be well trained and listens to commands, loves to play fetch and plays well with other dogs at the park, and loves humans. She would be best in a home as an only pet, as she can be territorial, and has shown some aggression towards our small dogs (mostly food and territory related). I gave them food and shelter, but could not keep them ad I already have 2 rescued pitbulls and my male is iffy with new dogs. I do not know how they are with other dogs, but they are very attached and sweet with each other. I boarded them for a few days, but after that all of the kennels were full for the holidays and I had to take them to the pound. They are very affectionate dogs and seen to be great with all people, even strangers, and I would hate to see them euthanized! He's such a gentle dog despite his size and unfortunately gets unfairly judged by a majority of people who don't take the time to know him. He is coming from a really great family (mom, dad, girl 5, boy 9) who took extremely great care of him. They also had 2 maltisse dogs who Rocco got along with fine. He is a very low energy dog and will poop out after a 20 minute walk. He loves attention, barks but doesn't bite and has no history of dog or people aggression.

We rescued him at about 8 months, we were his third or fourth home. He came to us with a terrible skin infection, malnourished, and a weak knee. It also looked like his last home had been trying to train him to fight, which went poorly, as he's failry omega. All of his health concerns have been dealt with and he's a very affectionate pup, gets along great with our two year old American Pit Bull Terrier. Unfortunatley, we are a multi-animal household and we've been unable to train him out of going after the cats and he has now killed one. This has resulted in him getting less affection, spending more time crated, etc. It's not fair to the household and not fair to Parcifal, and we'd like to rehome him with a loving family.
