Shorty's Rescue Network

The creation of Shorty's Rescue Network is an attempt and effort to assist in matchmaking individuals who need permanent homes for the dogs they have in their care and potentially find new homes by posting your dog here. Adopters who inquire to Shorty's Rescue, whom are not within the state of California will be directed to this blog.

Reasons for rehoming the dog: Sadie was rescued from a horrible, neglectful situation Sept 2011 while the opportunity was there. Her daughter and her five grandpuppies were also rescued. Sadie's grandpuppies now have homes, but Sadie and her daughter Sophie are still waiting. Sadie's foster is a single mother who works out of town and has two children, a cat, a guinea pig, and four dogs of her own (three rescues, including one of Sadie's grandpuppies). Foster is overextended in the areas of finances, space, time, and energy to deal with so much. Alpha dog is aggressive toward them as well, so foster has to play musical animals. Foster behind on mortgage and may have to move as well. Situation reaching emergency level! Sadie is very loving, actually gives hugs, and needs a loving, forever home.

Reason(s) for rehoming the dog: She was rescued December 22, 2011 has been living with us for the pass 6 months now we have three other small dogs that love her dearly and we love her dearly but, we don’t have enough space or a great amount of money for dog food to keep providing for both her and our other three dogs, this is a big emergency if we don’t find her a good home by July 24 or the end of this month she will be going to an animal shelter where she maybe put to sleep, and I do not wish for that to happen to her I would blame myself if anything happened to this beautiful pit bull.

Reason(s) for rehoming the dog:_We adopted Miss Ellie when her previous owner
threw her out. She was pregnant at the time. We found good homes for all of the puppies, but we
need to find a good home for her, too. She doesn't get along with my
other dogs, who are all small. I'm afraid because of the size
difference she'll hurt them while trying to defend her territory. I
have a very small house, so keeping them apart is not practical. I can't
keep her in the house much longer, and I don't have anywhere in the yard to
    put her..

If anyone would like to adopt her, or if you know a local or
semi-local Pit Bull rescue I could contact, please let me know as soon
as possible. I will be happy to send photos of her.

When the other dogs aren't around she's the sweetest dog you could
ever want to meet, so being an only dog would be good for her.

Please help. I want her to live and have a good home with a loving
family so she'll be happy and SAFE.

    Thanks,
